Air Tractor - Aero Tech Air Force One

I was asked to photograph this airplane by the president of the company to use in their advertising. They do a lot of spraying for the forest service to control the spruce bark beetle and also to fight fires. I used a technique called painting with light to create the photograph.

Portrait of the Month for May

I had the privilege of making this portrait last Saturday. D'Shawn and Kerry had asked me to come with them to an area of land south of Portales, New Mexico and make a portrait of them on their horses. We really had good fortune on our side because the weather was perfect. There was a huge thunderstorm brewing about 10 miles west of us and it created the perfect backdrop for this portrait. The horses were very restless and were kind of a problem but once Kerry got them settled the session worked perfect. Even the dogs got into the spirit of the thing and posed, pretty much on cue. Kerry and D'Shawn have been friends for years and their parents clients for longer. I photographed their wedding two summers ago and began doing work for their families more than twenty years ago.
